ICDF HISTORY
Mary Jones founded the Christian Dance Fellowship of Australia (CDFA) in 1978. Over the next few years, it flourished and provided support, fellowship and encouragement to many Christian dancers, not only in Australia, but around the world. In 1987, Mary had a vision to establish an international organization.
Ten nations took part in the ICDF formation meeting held in 1988 and elected Mary Jones as the first International Coordinator. The organisation’s purpose was to connect with global members and help establish new Christian Dance Fellowships around the world.
Since then, ICDF has expanded to over thirty countries, with special interest networks and an international conference held every three years in various locations worldwide. The first ICDF conference “Preparing the Way” took place in Jerusalem in 1991.
