Melanie Erasmus

Melanie has been serving the Lord for over 30 years and some of those years were in full-time ministry.
She is married with 2 adult children and lives in Cape Town, Melanie has been a Country leader for CDFSA in South Africa for the past 5 years. She has attended and taught at 2 International conferences namely India and Sweden. She has also taught online workshops for ICDF as well as assisted with training videos. South Africa is rich in culture and with that comes many genres of cultural dance. Mel has taught African dance in the USA, UK and Argentina. Together with a team of South African dance teachers, she has written a Contemporary syllabus and a Spanish dance syllabus.

She started the Christian dance company Emanate and continues to teach and impart knowledge through the medium of dance. Mel is the performance facilitator for the Cape Town Carnival where more than 30 000 people attend each year. She is the author of Lights, camera, passion where she shares her journey of dance. A
talk show host on Cape Town TV called Grooving with greatness, she highlights unsung heroes doing amazing work in South Africa. She was recently involved in the opening dance ceremony of the Homecoming Rugby game between South Africa & New Zealand as well as the International 7’s rugby game.

Mel is trained in Ballet, Modern-Jazz, Hip-hop, Spanish, African and Contemporary dance.
