Projects and Events

The Foundation regularly supports projects that promote and inspire Christian dance.  We support dance films, videos of workshop and classes and other events that encourage, educate and inspire those who are involved in dance and movement activities with a Christian faith base.

Dance Film – Apart…yet together

During the pandemic the Foundation sponsored a dance video for International Dance Day 2020 on the theme of hope, faith and love.  The International Council of Dance, within the UNESCO headquarters in Paris, called for videos showcasing young dancers whose training and potential careers were affected by the pandemic.  Our video was selected and shown in Paris on International Dance Day 2020.

The video called Apart..yet together filmed in one of the oldest churches in Sydney sensitively portrays the strength of faith, hope and love in times of change.

Movement Workshops

Alignment/Breath/Control

These are three videos of dance workshops that integrates contemporary dance and scripture in the class exercises. Use these resources to inspire and learn how to develop a workshop that is helpful to teach in church or church related settings.

These videos were developed and filmed by faithDance a group of young Perth dancers led by Lucinda Coleman.  Each video follows a dance element – Alignment, Breath and Control.

South African On-Line Christian Dance Workshops

Melanie Erasmus of Cape Town, SA leads three on-line workshops that take you through the foundations of a Christian dance class.  Be inspired and learn more on how to teach a dance class for beginners to intermediate dances in a church or community context.
