ABOUT US

The Christian Dance Fellowship of Scandinavia (Psalto) is a Chartered CDF that is a part of the International Christian Dance Fellowship.
Psalto is an ecumenical non-profit organization founded in 1993. Its goal is to be a source of inspiration for all who are involved in, long for, or are interested in dance to the glory of God. Psalto wants to be a support for all who want a fellowship full of fun and creativity and have a desire to see God’s name honoured through dance and movement.

VISION

We want to work as a network and community for all those who have a desire to honor God with dance.
PSALTO – The Christian Dance Fellowship of Scandinavia – is an organization that sees itself as part of the universal Church, the Body of Christ.
PSALTO – The Christian Dance Fellowship of Scandinavia – wants to promote:
· Dance – as a diversity in style and expression: modern, classical, folk, African, hip hop, street funk and jazz. The list goes on!
· Dance – as artistic expression
· Dance – as creative design
· Dance – as Community and joy
· Dance – as a balm for body and soul
· Dance – as worship, prayer and meditation

HISTORY

The Christian Dance Fellowship of Scandinavia is an ecumenical organization
formed in 1993 and then was named KDGS – Kristna Dansgemenskapen i Sverige.

In connection with the annual meeting October 11 th , 2013, the name PSALTO – Kristna Dansgemenskapen i Sverige was adopted. The annual general meeting of PSALTO on 24 October 2020 changed Sverige to Skandinavien.

EVENTS

We arrange a yearly dance weekend in the fall of each year, and sometimes a dance day in spring. We also have local dance groups who meet more often.
